Royal Plaza Hotel Reviews

Royal Plaza Hotel was a beautiful hotel and has direct access to Grand Century Place in Mongkok. It was within easy walking distance to the ‘ladies markets’ etc. It is great value for money. The room was very spacious with a nice bathroom. The large screen TV in room has a lot of English channels. The staffs were very polite and helpful. If you take the airport express from the airport, there is a free shuttle bus to pick you up and take you to the hotel. There was also free shuttle service to Tsim Sha Tsui, which was quite convenience and comfortable.

I was just passing through here on my way to China, so it was a one night stay. I stayed here with my family about 10 years prior, and we had a great time. The location is very convenient, particularly to Mong Kok shopping area's.

This trip I arrived at 1.00am, after fighting through rain and taxi queues that seemed endless. I mad the mistake of getting on the wrong train line and got off at Prince Edward. I found myself on a dingy back street in the rain at about 12.00am in the morning. Luckily I have some Mandarin skills and got some guidance. About 20-30 miuntes later I found the hotel, after dragging suitcases through the rain.

I finally checked in and was given an "upgrade". Unfortunately the new room was on a floor that had no elevator to it. I had to get off one floor down and drag my bags up a flight of stairs, to get to my room. At 1.00am, it was quite unwelcome.

That aside, the hotel is clean, the rooms are fresh and modern and the facilities are good. The lobby is a bit small and dated, but that's ok because the rooms are not.

The stay was fine, and everything was more than addequite. If I got off the MTR at Mong Kok or Mong Kok East, I would have been even better, as the hotel is right there.

I'm sure everything about this hotel will suit most travellers, and the pool area is lovely in summer.

The hotel is located in the centre of Kowloon, really close to the Mong Kok East MTR Station. We got a taxi and it was about 45 minutes drive from the international airport.

The hotel itself is lovely with a gorgeous pool and fitness centre. Our rooms were a good size although the double beds were a bit smaller than the ones in England.

We found the staff were helpful and keen to assist. The hotel is also attached to a shopping centre which is quite useful.

Hotel itself is very nice. Beautiful pool, fitness centre etc. Rooms a good size although the double beds were a bit small. We had 2 double beds for 2 adults and 1 child. Beautiful bathroom. Electric jug, fridge and in room safe. Not a bad view from the 11th floor. Attached to a shopping centre which is handy. A good local market 5 minutes walk away. Train stations nearby. Also bus stops very close. A little way from star ferry and more tourist oriented shopping areas, but hotel has free shuttle service which runs at set times which was very good. FYI, taxi to airport cost 250HKD.

The hotel is ideally located for both tourist attractions and entertainment venues. The rooms are well equipped and in excellent condition. Staff are helpful and keen to assist in any way they can. The hotel offers a range of restaurants as well as health club and swimming pool.
