Jep Apartments / Aaaa Hotels / Golden Prague Hotel Reviews

We originally booked through www tobook com staying at the Golden Prague Hotel. This would have really suited us had we been able to stay there as it had all the facilities that we wanted, hence the reason why we booked this, as well as the ideal location. On our arrival we were given a note telling us that we had been moved to a different hotel called 'Best Prague Hotel' and told our room number. We put it down to the fact that renovations had not been finished on this hotel as it still had scaffolding on the outside of the building. When we booked the hotel, the description says 'It has been completely renovated and fascinates by impressive architecture of 20 century'. We were never given an explanation as to why we were moved although we asked the question, they could not understand us blaming the language barrier.

On we went to the 'Best Prague Hotel' to be greeted by a woman and told that we were not staying here but another apartment that her husband, , owns and runs which is part of Jep Apartments (website is www jep-apartments com). The actual apartment we stayed in is not on the website or if it was I could not find it. The windows were broken, the carpet was dirty, beds were like fold away beds, on a busy main road, towels were atrocious and the toilet was not even connected to the piping so would not flush properly and the apartment block was a dodgy unsafe building.

The apartment was so bad, I would not let anyone stay there and they should not be able to charge people money to stay there. In fact, we were originally charged the same price for this dump as we were to stay at the Golden Prague Hotel which was a 3 star hotel.

What really annoys me is we booked to stay at the Golden Prague Hotel months ago and were told that this accommodation had been confirmed. If it was not true then why were we not told at that point, we could have then arranged to stay at another hotel or a back packers for that matter as it would have been better then where we stayed.

We would have enjoyed our stay in Prague a lot more had we not been given the run around on our accommodation and it being so terrible. It was a lovely city but I will not be returning!
