Me and my partner went on Holiday to Mitsis Roda Beatch Hotel in August 2011 for a week. This is the best holiday we have ever been on! The hotel was Amazing from the appearance, to the room, to the food and location. The food served at the hotel was lovely and was some of the best food I had ever had... and breakfast was amazing! The room was nicely decorated and was very clean. The location as great as Roda town center was just a walk down the beach and as some great shops, food and night life. The tour reps were very nice and there were lots of things to do. We went to Corfu town by boat and spent the day shopping then jumped off the boat into the middle of the sea for a swim. Went on a day trip to Albania and spent the day as Aqualand! This really was an amazing holiday and would recommend it to anyone especially young couples and families. And I would defiantly visit there again!

the hotel itself was nice, it was newly decoarted and was kept very clean HOWEVER the big let down were the staff, on arrival we thought they spoke poor english as they didnt seem to want t talk, however after a few dyas it became evident they were gossiping about the people staying at the hotel and were impersonating them, they were very rude. the kids club staff were geat, they were friendly and kept the kids entertained. the fod was ok, nothing special but there was always sth for everyone. only a 5 min walk or so to roda.

Just spent the first 2 weeks in August at this hotel and would like to say this is a lovely hotel.in our party there was 2 adults with 2 14 year old boys.food great, hotel room spacious(family room)and clean.Entertainment shite and bar staff in the reception really rude and carry on talking to each other when your trying to order your drinks and make it perfectly clear they are talking about you.Its a real shame about the staff and entertainment as this really is a nice hotel.I would go back to this hotel but i would take more money so we could go out most nights as the entertainment really was poor.if you do decide to walk into roda walk along the beach as we found out after climbing the massive hill to walk the road way

"superb all inclusive hotel"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

An excellent hotel suitable for all ages. The hotel has a wide range of facilities, including a spa, several pools, one with a large slide and a private beach. There are also three different restaurants - a Greek taverna, an Italian and a Chinese - all included in the all-inclusive deal. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds which slope away gently to its own beach. There are many snack bars dotted around the site, offering a variety of different tastes. The bars offer a full range of drinks - the spirits were recognised brands- served by very friendly staff. The quality of the food was excellent - a large restaurant that offered hot and cold buffet food, that catered for all tastes and diets. The rooms were very comfprtable, and an added bonus was the mini bar which was refreshed daily. Another pleasing aspect was that the towels were changed daily. All in all,a brilliant holiday suitablr for everybody. Well worth a visit.

Myself and my partner stayed at the Mitsis Roda Beach in May 2011. We were very happy with all aspects of this holiday. We stayed all inclusive and enjoyed a variety of food in the buffet restaurant, we also ate in the three beach front restaurants Italian, Greek and Chinese during our stay all of which had lovely food. The restaurant and hotel staff were very friendly and polite throughout our stay. We enjoyed the all inclusive drinks - Beer, Wine, Spirits and Cocktails. Evening entertainment took place at the beach bar and there was plenty of activities through the day. We also played tennis and had a go of the pedeloes and canoes at the beach all free of charge. Fabulous holiday would definately recommend.

"Mitsis Roda Beach Hotel - Pretty Good!"

I stayed here with a friend in June 2011. It's a lovely hotel, very big, sprawling complex with well kept gardens. Our room was nice, it was supposed to be a "family" room, but it looked like a standard twin room to me. However, it was furnished well, spotlessly clean and our back patio had steps leading down to a swimming pool (one of many on the complex). It's very family orientated, so we found the entertainment wasn't for us. There is a real mix of nationalities staying here. The main pool is huge and has waterslides, but there are lots of smaller pools dotted around. Service was generally good, though we often had to wait for a long time to get drinks in the restaurant. The all inclusive was excellent.

"Brilliant Holiday"

This was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. The food was exactly due to the wide variety of choice available. the activities that were available were huge and you could do numerous events a day ranging from archery to volleyball. the hotel was just on the beach which was great and provided a great view. One piece of advice i would give however is that maybe it is better to stay for just one week rather than two as there isn't that much to do within the resort and you will find yourself doing things twice. the only downside of the holiday was the fact it was a hour away from the airport which can be a very tedious journey when your miserable on the way back from a fantastic holiday!

Just home today after a week at this hotel, we (2 - 48 year olds and a 80 year old) had been upgraded due our hotel not being opened (various reasons given). We were apprehensive but the hotel staff, hotel room, food and all other facilities were great. The main restuarant was great but you also had a choice of greek, italian and chinese rest, which you could book at reception for the following day. Entertainment was geared for smallish kids it left a little to be desired but as it was the start of the season could possibly be better later on in the season. Plenty of sunbeds available as there was also various pools so you didnt have tos tay at the main pool. Quite a few stairs around the hotel area so if you had walking difficulties could be a bit difficult but not impossible. All in all really enjoyed it, and would certainly go back but not high season

"Two star bed and breakfast complex"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Poor

If you're looking for the quality relaxing enjoyable holiday don't come here, if you want to get drunk argue with Germans and Russians and let your kids run riot without supervision then this is the place for you. Reception staff/ bar staff are so rude, you won't get any sleep if you're in the rooms from 100 onwards in the main complex, as you will be near the poor tables games machines/bar where kids are not supervised till at least midnight making enough noise to wake up the whole wing running around screening bang on everyone's doors and running up and down stairs combined with Germans coming back from the bar drunk and very loud and argumentative with anyone plus if you think you could get recover from this and have a lie in the cleaners then start to make a noise from seven am onwards. The pool is not warm and it is made up with seawater very salty, the beach what they advertise is more like a patch of sand, the rooms themselves don't have any coffee/tea facility/no toiletries/bathrobes & slippers/TV must be around 10 inch only has one English speaking programme what is the news channel, no entertainment throughout the day, dont come here

"Amazing hotel for all ages"

Myself and my husband have stayed at this hotel 27 times in 18 years and will keep returning. The service we receive is always first rate, the staff are very friendly and caring, especially the reservations manager, who we have become very close to. The rooms are superb, with everything you need to make your stay very comfortable, including a fridge and mini bar. Maid service daily, clean towels daily and sheet changed every other day. This hotel is set in its own grounds with direct access to the beach. 5 to 10 minutes walk along the beach is the old pretty village of Roda, with many bars and restaurants. The hotel has its own shop and gift shop, pool bar and beach bar. As well as the main restaurant it has 3 restaurants on the beach serving Greek, Italian and Chinese food. For those who like to keep fit on holiday the hotel even has its own gym and spa. The pool is lovely with a water slide, although it is salt water, which is not always to every ones taste. We absolutely love this hotel and although we have been to many other locations will continue to holiday here as we feel so at home and are considered not as guests but as family.

"Fabulous"

We went to the Mitsis Roda Beach last September and had such a good time we have booked to go again in May 2010 and my son and daughter-in-law are coming with us. I just felt I had to write a review after reading some of the awful things said about the hotel.

We had a great time, the hotel, all the staff and the food was fantastic.

Perhaps it's not a 5 star hotel, but the price relates that. If you want a Caribbean all inclusive then you would have to pay far more than this hotel is charging. I couldn't live at home for a day on what the average daily spends is here.

The hotel is very clean and we had clean towels daily and our bed linen was changed once in our 7 day stay. Huge room opening onto the pool area which was spotless. Our mini bar was re-stocked every day and we were pleasantly surprised that this was included in the all inclusive deal. The bar areas were kept clean and there was always plenty of staff to assist us.

The staff were great we had such a laugh with most of them, always ready to have a chat and help if you needed it. The bar staff were good fun and the staff in the dining room were fantastic. I noticed a lot of the guests were rude and surly. Perhaps people should remember the old saying treat people as you would like to be treated. I wouldn't speak to my dog the way some guests spoke to the staff. You only have to say please and thank you and smile at the staff and you will get the same back.

The food was fabulous, there was so much choice in the main dining room, and I would defy even the pickiest of eaters not to find something they liked. Although it's true you do have to queue up to book the restaurants on the beach, does it really matter, after all you're on holiday so you're not exactly in a rush to get anywhere. We just sat on the beach with a beer and waited until the queue died down. It's called relaxing.

We love the Mitsis Roda Beach and really can't wait until May to go back.

"Not so bad"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Open quote

Very average all inclusive, nearer 3 to 4 star. Main dining room is like a school canteen, very noisy and busy. Food choice quite good, but samey. Have to be up at the crack of dawn to stand any chance of getting a sun bed around the pool. The beach is grotty compared to most greek beaches. Mostly french holiday makers who are rude and arrogant. No wonder the staff are miserable, having to put up with all those French people. One week was enough though, would have been unbearable if we had to stay for two weeks. Been on lots of holidays to different Greek islands, all of which were brilliant. This one was NOT. Beach towells are quite small and you have to have them for two days instead of one, so take some of your own too. I really would not bother with this hotel, there are so many better ones in Corfu.

"Mixed Feelings"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Very Good

Open quote

I read a review on the Mitsis stating that it aspires to be a 5 star hotel, but that it is not. Well the hotel itself is as good a hotel that I have stayed in on any Greek island. Our room was spacious and well equiped, cleaned daily, towels changed daily etc. Spacious reception and lounge areas with probably the most pleasant and helpful staff Ive had the pleasure to come across. The pools, grounds and private beaches are fine, plenty of sunbeds, always an open bar nearby and only a 10 minute slow walk to the small resort of Roda. There is a mix of guest's nationalities but no preferences given to anyone specifically. For what we paid for this holiday, it was the best value we have ever had. However where it fails, and this is hard to put into words, especially after my glorifying for the last 5 minutes, is the expectancy of a 5 star hotel. The clientelle were of such a variety, from all levels of society, espescially the Russians, that I was left wondering how could some of them afford to stay here. That was the problem. I found that I could afford to stay here at a 5 star A/I ond so did they. It is an aspiring 5 star hotel, with unfortunately, a 3 to 4 star ambiance. So if you want a great value holiday to Corfu this could very well be for you but not if you expect Hilton standards. I and my wife had a wonderful time, mainly because we used the hotel as a base for travelling the island. I would say dont let me put you off staying here, it is a great place, just bear in mind that the price you pay may reflect the standard of person you share your holiday with. Just watching the amounts of food consumed by the Russian contingency was an education in itself.

"Nice relaxing holiday"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Good

Open quote

We went for a nice relaxing break and this is what we got. The rooms were satisfactory - not the best I've ever stayed in but then we were hardly ever there - and the hotel and grounds were lovely. The pool was really big and deep in places with a separate pool area for the kids and the beach was nice too - lovely view across the bay. The beach bar was lovely. From the beach a 10 minute walk would take you into Roda itself which was a quaint little fisherman's town with a few bars, shops and restaurants. By far the best thing about the hotel were the two restaurants - Chinese and Italian, included in the all inclusive and bookable at reception. Buffet not bad either - good variety.
