"Time to relax..."

An excellent place to stay in an great location in a wonderful resort!

The apartments (we had a studio for 2) could do with being bigger, but when you consider the amount of time you spend in there this is not a particular problem. The size of the bathroom was the largest drawback.

The kitchen is well stocked including a toaster - a first for us in Greece - if you are one of those who likes to cook while you are away. With as many restaurants as you could possible want within a few minutes walk, and all very cheap, I am not sure why you would want to!

The apartments are kept very clean, although I would suggest taking a toilet roll with you just in case!

The pool - which is huge - was never busy and always kept clean with a well stocked bar if you fancy a drink, snack or ice cream on those glorious sunny days!

You get what you pay for in life, Stamatis is more than reasonable value for money!

"Greece is Greece!"

Myself and my Boyfriend are both 20 and we found San Stefanos the perfect location, a place to relax and with a couple of bars available we could also have a bit of night life. After a year of working and a fresh start at University we had a fantastic time relaxing and doing nothing!

As for the apartments being inadequate, i beg to differ. yes they are dated but Greece is Greece! Aslong as everything worked, which it did, thats all that matters. If you have any problems Stammatis is only to happy to oblige - we locked ourselves out at 1 in the morning, but Stammatis is still up and came running over to help!

Mike and Stammatis are wonderful, friendly people and the maid loved to flirt with my boyfriend! At midday they all sat in the shade with a pint and we were always encouraged to join them, not that we could understand what they were saying!

I would recommend this resort to those families who like to relax, those with older children can still find something for everyone, the condor bar has a bit of everything, again including friendly greeks! If you are young and like large night life, this resort is not for you, yet if your young and like to relax then it will be perfect. The amount of friends we made was amazing and after the first day Mike knew what our tipples were, what more could you ask!

At the end of our holiday we were so sad to leave, we were all up til about 3 in the morning with Stammatis in the bar, saying goodbye. Mike even pulled up early the next morning in front of our coach to say goodbye!

If you are looking for a lovely, relaxing and eventful break then this is the one, we highly recommend Theo's Boat BBQ, a day of sun, sea, food, greek dancing and plenty of alcohol!

We arrived at the resort and were dumped outside the Silver Moon restuarant, no sign for the apartments. Within a few minutes a young lad came out of the Silver Moon and took us to the apartments (No 6). As soon as the door was opened and we went in we both wanted to go home, not enough room to swing a cat and it smelt damp. The cooker and crockery etc were inadequate if you wanted to eat in the apartment.

On the third day we came back to find a mouse eating our biscuits out of the packet, it obviously lived in the apartment as there was a hole between the cooker and side of sink unit, which it went into. We went to the owner and told him and he said that he would deal with it - it was a good job neither of us had a mouse phobia as it was the next day before someone set a trap for the mouse, although we do not know if it was ever caught. We asked to be moved but to no avail.

During our stay we had torrential rain which came in under the balcony and front doors, we spent a couple of hours brushing the water off the patio at the back to stop it entering the 'dungeon' (our nickname for the apartment), I went and asked for some towels to put at the door and was given two bar towels! It would not have been so bad but the people who were in the apartment the week before had the same problem. We tried to call the rep but could not get hold of him.

We found the resort to be loud and noisy, sometimes until 3 o'clock in the morning, and the beach left a lot to be desired.

The only saving grace was the locals were friendly, but it has put us off Corfu and using Thompsons for life!

Just come back from a very relaxing and VERY hot week here.

The studios are very basic and although we had one of the larger rooms on the top floor (no. 12) the pool and bar area is a little run down and could do with refurbishment. (Take some toilet rolls for your first day as they dont provide). However, the studios are centrally located in the resort, so no staggering back far after a few drinks! The resort itself is very quiet and relaxing and I have never come across such friendly people. Not suitable for children/teenagers as nothing for them to do.

The beach is very safe and clean, 2 beds and parasol 7 euros. The sea shelves very gently and some watersports are available. Best restaurants we found were Yiannis, Olympia, Sunset and Olive Press. 2 Stars was diabolical and expensive. All of them offer a 3 course menu of the day for a very reasonable 7 euros! Drinks also cheap, averaging 3 euros for spirit and mixer and our favourite place was Bar 38. Owned by the lovely Spiro and Hilary - they have created a sophisticated, relaxing, chilled out ambience, with great music. Spiro makes amazing cocktails - happy hours from 5-8 and their young barman George kept us entertained for hours.

Will return to the resort but stay in different accommodation as there is plenty to choose from and most privatly owned.

We arrived here on a late deal and were absolutely delighted with the resort and the accomadation. We were met by Tom the owner who carried our bags to the room and invited us down for a welcome drink. The pool and poolside are spotless and the food from the poolside bar (THE SILVER MOON )is spot on ,his sausage and fried onion buns are to die for.Mike the waiter always there for a chat and really friendly and Juliana the cleaner the happiest person i have ever met always smiling laughing singing. The resort itself brilliant 5 minutes to the beach clean and welcoming.Beware nudists at the top end of the beach but worth a look all differant shapes and sizes if you know what i mean, we giggled.Food wise lots and lots to chose from all very good, two star ,little prince ,paradiso lovely t-bone 8 euro.Entertainment wise of a night very limited but whats there is ok.recommend the internet bar on a sunday night good singer and a cheap beer only 2 euro plus internet access to check lottery results,e mails etc. There are no hole in the walls here so a 45 min walk to Arillas or a 20 min bus ride to Sidari euro 1.20 limited bus times 14 euro by taxi.Sidari totally the opposite to San Stefh lively and noisy better for the younger ones.
I would like to thank Allan and Francis for letting us hang around with them, and also Jim and Maureen who made us laugh with his poolside stories. If you are coming you will have a great time. The wife had her birthday out here and Tom arranged a cake for me best cake ever absolutely delicous.

SPECIAL THANKS TO TOM AND HIS TEAM AWESOME

this has to be the best holiday we have ever had.

the stamtis apartments could not have been better, the owner stamatis and his nephew Yannis are brilliant and the place is spotless. the pool is cleaned every morning and the poolside food is excellent. There is only 12 apartments and the place is really peaceful. san stephanos itself is beautiful and i would recomend it to anyone, if you want a break from stress, some peace and quiet and a village atmosphere you cant go wrong.

we didnt have one bad meal during our whole time there and we didnt get to sample all the taverna's as there was so many. we took two teenagers and were worried it would be to quiet for them, we were wrong all the teens, greek, german and english, gather at the condor bar and dance till late and ours were really happy. the place has a safe village feel to it. we tried various trips, scuba diving, horse riding, boat and quad bike hire and theo's boat BBQ, one tip I will give is book all that through the agents there and not with the english travel agents as you end up paying £20 more per person for most trips that are exactly the same through the local agents.

we loved this holiday so much that we went to thomson today the day after we returned and booked up for next year at the same apartments !!!

We were looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing and we didnt want to end up in some high rise block of apartments.

Well we found the perfect place, there are only 12 units(apartments), and a huge pool that is cleaned every evening. This is a small village so not all that suitable for teenagers but it has some really nice bars and they serve nice food. We were not even five mins walk from the beach but we spent all our time near the pool. Tom who owns the place is very helpful and friendly. The people that we met at the stamatis were so nice, some have been going there for years .We met a woman named Mags who was just lovely she goes year after year.
We hired a fan from the shop aspas as the heat did get unbearable but did not take away from the holiday.

I recommend you go hear as you will be well taken care of
