"Welcome to the Zoo!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
When I say welcome to the Zoo, I mean it. Best apartments in Malia! Total carnage! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are absolutely lovely and as for the horror stories about Dimitri? Rubbish! Nicest guy ever. Even when we came back a bit early and we were all sat around the steps he came over and joined us! When we arrived we were greeted with lots of people staring over the balconies to see the newcomers, and we were taken straight to our rooms to put our stuff down. Passports were taken away, but this is routine in Malia, and we were left with the reps Andy and Hannah, who are absolutely AMAZING! We were set up on shots and told about everything. We didn't sign up for the holiday package as none of us had enough money but we went on the booze cruise - Do it, its awesome -! Spent our days lounging around the pool, because it's jsut too hot to go anywhere! But tbh you're so tired and hungover it doesn't seem like such a bad idea! Food there is lovely, though I do recommend Pizza Stop just up the road YUM! As for Malia Strip... Words can't describe how absolutely amazingly awesome it actually is. Don't listen to horror stories, yes the PR's are annoying but so what? They don't ruin the night, its funny more than anything :) Drinks are cheap, music is great, especially in venue, the indie club is actually awesome! We got like 3 cocktails, 2 shots and a fishbowl for 5 euros each (8 18 year old girls went!) It was just totally amazing... And you can't beat walking down to the beach at 6am and going in the sea (Y) It's just the best place on earth. Go to Malia... You'll regret it if you dont.

"Oddysey Superb location, Decent enough."
Overall Hotel Rating:
Apart from the over-Zelous security guard and the owners demanding money before returning our passports claiming that we were 4 hours in the room more than we should've been even though we werent told, it was a good stay. The food was pretty poor/average at best to be honest. Any hint of an arguement or disagrement then 'Dimitri' the security guard would come stemaing up with his baton at the ready (it happened about 8 times in the week we were there). alcohol was a bit expensive as youd expect on the hotel and you couldn't being 'guests' back with you unless you managed to catch Dimitri asleep ;-)

Overall Hotel Rating:
To be totally honest this was the most amazing holiday I have ever been on in my entire life.
We stayed in the Odyssey Apartments and after reading reviews on here were execting a shed full of cockraoches. But i can safely say these appartments are beautiful. They have a fantastic atmosphere, music is blaring all day, a reasonably priced bar and friendly staff. The rep is called Miles and he's lovely - say hi for me if u go :o) The apartments are about a ten min walk frm the strip and about 15 mins from the beach... but this is nice as you are away from the noice if u wanna be. Rooms are very basic but if your like us u only shower and sleep there anyway. We never got charged extra for anything as mentioned in some of the other reviews! I think so long as you respect the hotels property you will be ok. The security guard there is called Demitrious - hes fab and works 24/7. He will get strict if you bring people home though... We used to scream ";Gimmie a D"; then high five him as we strolled in at 6am lol... It made him smile and kept him sweet!!
Malia itself is fantastic!! I have been to Kavos and Zante and id say malia tops them both!! The Escys reps work really hard and do a fantastic job!! Didnt realy see any of the other tour reps!? Absolutely loved the place and am absolutely gutted to be home!!
xx

Malia was Absolutely Amazing! Had the best 2 weeks ever!
Odyssey Apartments were ok Not brilliant and not Rubbish. The staff were really nice Except the security guard who got his keys stolen cause he went back to someones room! Didnt think much of the Rep. We and alot of the other people in the apartments were due to fly home the day after the attempted bombing on the planes in london, the rep came in turned on the tv and left leaving us all wondering if we were going to actually get home. Great Atmosphere round the pool, Music blaring and reasonable priced bar. Didnt think to much of the food, despite that we still ate it everyday! Rooms were basic, Showers are Solar-powered so try and grab one before the sun goes down or it will be cold! Rooms only have a hot plate with two rings no kettle or toaster so dont't expect to eat in the apartments! I would visit these apartments again really you get what you pay for.

we arrived there at 6.00am we walked in and it was disgusting there was food all over tghe floor. We thought to ignore it as it was an 18-30's place. We alked in to the appartment the door was hanging off, the was other peoples body hair on the sheets and it was so dirty it was unreal. The cleaners only seemed to come to clean it when you aksed baring in mind we paid alot of money for this. We had no hot water for 4 nights while we was there we had to have cold showers. The rep is wicked any probs she will try to help you.
The pool area and bar area was lovely could not fault that at all. The staff there are extremly rude they do not want to help thye just walk off which left you very angry. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THESE APPARTMENTS.
The night life there was absolutely amazing go to yaziso it was great do the watersports they are wicked. The secruity guards aint that bad than what you think one of them is but you just ignore him.
Hope you have a good time in the apartments we certainly didnt.

Malia was a fun place to go. accomodation is lovely, but they will charge you for anything. we got charged because they thought we had taken a towel when in fact they gave us two between 4 of us. rep was no good, she was never there when you wanted her. spent most of the time on the beach, dolphin beach is the best. prs are a pain they will drag you in anywhere and you have to be quite forceful with them.
all in all a good holiday but would never stay in these apartments again

I booked my holiday to malia thinking it would be ";the place to be"; i thought it was a bag of sh*t.
The apartments where we stayed were very basic and they try and get money out of you for anything. considering it was an escapades holiday and your there to go out and get drunk and not come bk till the early hours they tried to charge us money for making noise when we came back. also the security guard is so moody and hes supposed to be there to protect us but he let two lads in our room when we was asleep cus they said that they wanted to tlk to us.Also two members of the party we were with got money stolen out of their room and the people in the room nxt door to us had 600 euro stolen from their safe.
The actual malia strip is a hole the PR's p*ss you off and theres little children form the ages of 2 and up trying to sell you hats and glow up braceletts. (watch them) they are not stupid and they try and pick pocket you.
the only good thing about the whole malia expieriece was the Red Lion Pub and coming home.Dont stay at the Odyssey apartments unless you want your money stolen or to be charged for making noise.
This is only my personal opinion so wen you go judge for yourself youll either absolutley love it or absolutely hate it n i absolutley hated it!!!

Overall Hotel Rating:
Malia is a fantastic place to go with plenty of things to do. During the day we preffered to chill round the pool (as we were part of the chillout zone) but just down the road is the beach which for a couple of euros got all four of us loungers for a couple of days which was pretty good.
The nightlife is amazing it tends to get busy from around 12am and most places don't close till about 5am. Bars which are a must see are Malibu, Zigzag, Newcastle Bar and Cheeky 1/2. All of which offer really good drink deals (buy 1 get 2 free for about 5 euros).
The brassiere is a must for food as it was the best for choice and service and it was really cheap we thught we had somebody else's bill!! Petrino's is also another great bar/restaurant which is open 24hrs if you want to carry on with the party. Most of these places can be found on the main bar road. Watch out for the PR's though they are a pain in the a**e, they try to drag you into places, but the best thing to do is to say that you're off for some food and will be back later.
The apartments were a little bit on the small side for four of us and you need to hassle staff for clean towels but apart from that everything was fine.
All in all it was a brilliant resort, fantastic people, good value for money, and I will definetly be back!!!
