Leoniki Residence Reviews

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Grand Leoniki. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. It was frustrating as we did not feel able to sit by the bar or any of the pools as it was overrun by sales reps doing the hard sell. We had a note pushed through the door telling us they had made a breakfast appointment for us which we thought was a bit of a cheek. Needless to say we told the Club Greece reps that we were not going to be attending for which they were not very happy about. At the end of the day we went to go on holiday and not to be put through a hard sell. There were constant groups of people being shown round the complex - obviously going through the hard sell. It was off putting. Having said all that, the rooms were very clean - maid service six days a week. The bedding and towels changed regularly. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The Grand Leoniki is ideally situated for the shops, tavernas and the beach. Overall we had a good holiday. We woould highly recommend being firm with the Club Greece reps and if you don't want to go through a long sales pitch then stick to your guns.

We were stopped by a man on a moped in Rhodes in 2004 and after a 6 hour demonstration purchased holiday weeks with Club Greece. Well we got our holiday and yes the accomadation was nice. I was impressed with dishwasher in the room! However there was no atmosphere at the hotel with no decent place to sit in the evening with a little light music.

We stayed at the Leoniki for 2 weeks and had to go through another 6-7 hour sales ordeal. We purchased a timeshare because it was the only way of getting them off our backs. We cancelled as soon as we got home having ignored the phone for a few weeks after coming home.

If you are going to the Leoniki with another agent then you prob have a good time but if you are going with Club Greece then be ready for he hard, hard, hard sell of timeshare. We felt very upset and harrassed by the whole thing. Having said the above if you go ready for them you are sure to make the most of your stay in Crete and have a good time. The harbour is nice with lots and lots of restraunts.

If you come out of the leoniki and turn right and walk round the corner there is a lovley little place to have breakfast. I cant remember the name of it but it is a females name followed with cafe. The front has a few tables with the menus already on them. The lady was a really lovely Crete lady and very very friendly.

TRIPS
If you get a chance to visit the pirates island this is beautiful. If you like beautiful costal resorts then this trip is for you. The boat ride was pleasant and the food on the trip was of excellent quality and resonably priced. The crew were a delight. We book this through Club greece and was pleasantly suprised.

I am looking foward to booking my own holiday in future and leave Club Greece behind me. I missed not looking at the holiday brochures because you had little choice with club greece as to where you go. The Grand Leoniki is one of their hotels (timeshare place) The Grand leoniki is fantastic but has club greece reps everywhere. You can run but you just cant hide for the whole duration of your stay and they get very friendly with you before they go for the sales pitch.
