The olympia apartments looked lovely from outside, was acutally impressed to get that on a package holiday with young people going to it!surrounded by mountains but yet only 10min walk across the dirt track to faliraki center.
Inside the apartments were very spacious, had everything you needed,fridge,2hobs,cutelry,sink and we a balcony and a terrace which was an added bonus! The only downside about our room was that even the cleaners wiped over the floor,it was very dirty to walk around on your bare feet so id advise you to have a pair or flip flops or something!
Also, the air conditioning was 65euros per week as we were staying in a 1bed room apartment, its 45euros if ur in a stuido.we found one of our rooms was very cool, and worhtwhile getting, but the main living area were the others slept was still very hot with little air conditioning coming through.Ants are a problem, but only if u leave food on the surfaces.

The staff are all lovely, helped us with anything including when an organized bus didnt come to take us to the waterpark and they phoned to fine out the problem and said they would give us the money if we got a taxi.

Of course faliraki was a lively resort but it is nothing like clup reps programme, there were quite a lot of families but still there were pub crawlls etc happening!
The foam party is a must!!20 euros for the friday night,DO NOT WEAR FLIP FLOPS!!u may think it wud b ok liek myself, but the minute the foam poured out, they broke and were never to be seen again!

We ate out every night in faliraki, and some of the best restuarants would be
1.The opera piano bar which is near very end of club street. It looks really expensive, but it was just like anywer else except with the extra bit of class!
2.The golden Wok chinese - behind clubstreet there is a street of much nicer restaurants.
I WOULD NOT ADVISE THE JADE GARDEN CHINESE ON CLUBSTREET.SERVICE EXTREMLY POOR AND FOOD BAD.
3.The BBQ steakhouse- on the street behind clubstreet.great pasta, ribs etc.
4.Panchos mexican restaurant - on clubstreet

Liquid is a great club with a dance floor then a randb room upstairs.after we would have went to bedrock which was great and stays open till 7/8ish!then king aurthers to finish us off!
Loads of good bars on bar street, walk 2 the very end of club street and bar street is parallel to it.its really good,if not beter than some big clubs.

A trip to rhodes town is wel worth it!only 2.50euros on the bus, then you can go to the old town, shop round the market stalls or do some sightseeing.
We also did the rhodes barcrawl which the rep organizes, its great as it isnt too large a group so you get to know the people, and its 25 euros for transfers and free shots in every bar.

Overall i had a great holiday, and would advise people, especially young groups of people that this is wel worth the money!

just returned from a great holiday at the olympia appartments. Bit nervous as on my own with the children i know one was 18. All nerves went as soon as we got there.

Arrived in the middle of the night all exhausted found our appartment we were placed at the back but that was fine look at the hills and you see the goats in the morning and early evening. Appartments were basic but ok as we were only sleeping there. The management team was very friendly and the reception was maned 24hours.Breakfast was filling and cheap and tasty, pool was good 11 year old in there most of the time. People very friendly and made to feel welcome we also made some great friends. Ate out every night family resturant over the dirt track was ideal Falaraki town had good bars and nightlife if your into that, eldest daughter visited a few with the friends that she had made, me and josh found our own entertainment at a bar where they did live entertainment (drifters, supremes etc) Jazbos was the name of the bar where they did those acts.

Weather was hot all had a lovely tan beach was lovely we would definately go back next time other daughter coming too so is husband, Hello Liz and greg,Ron and Shelia, Alan and his wife and of course di,pete and callum, who josh is still writting to, leanne and adam and of course her bump and all the lads from whitby :D and the four welsh lads :D perhaps we might see you all again. Lindos town is great and so is the old Rhodes town be prepared for plenty of walking.

I will start with the hotel first, there is plenty entertainment for the kids. eg pool table, internet, video games etc. The hotel is kept clean and well maintained there are 3 swimming pools and a shop just at the corner of the hotel to stock up on groceries as this is a self catering.

I would strongly recommend that this hotel is not for families between the months of June to August. It is full of kids between the ages of 16 - 23. The hotel staff has no control over these kids what so ever. My travel don't care what they do as they have already paid for there accommodation in advance. There is constant load music, fights amounts the kids, kids running in and out of there hotels screaming and banging till all times of the morning. It is almost guaranteed you will get no sleep at all. When you do complain to the rep about there behaviour, all they will say is we will speak to them. On one occasion a group of young lads through a brick at a taxi window and they still got to stay at the complexes, yet there had been so many complaints about these lads. It was the worst holiday I have ever had.

You go down Faliraki and again you can see for yourself what Faliraki is all about. Young people who cannot look after them self being guided by the Reps from one club to the next, drink being poured down there throats and afterwards having to dodge all the sick that has accumulated on the paths. To any one from the age of puberty to about 22 this is ideal you you. On the other hand those with a family be warned you will get not piece and no sleep. Don't complain none will listen.

we have just returned after a 2 week holiday,

the appartments were basic but clean, the pool area was lovely and the staff were quick to serve the food and drink and were helpful. the only downside was the cost of the air con it was 10 euros per night. In the resort good places to eat were the orion restaurant and flames restaurant but the best food was at zorbas restaurant at monaxia beach the quality of the food was excellent and the owners are really friendly yanni and klara.

If you fancy a trip the island of symi is a beautiful harbour and the surrounding view of the houses built into the hills is lovely. Rhodes town is only 10 min taxi ride the old town is lovely to wander around the shops and there are plenty of bars and restaurants, i would say that it is better to go at night because it is so much cooler.

Just returned from our best holiday yet - 2 weeks in Falaraki at the Olympia Studios and Apartments, We arrived late at night knackered after travelling all day and we were put in the main block which had a brill view of not only the pool but also the sea and the mountains couldnt ask for better the room was spotlessly clean and remained so throughout as the maids came in every day giving us clean towels daily and clean sheets every 2 days, there was a basic snack bar on site serving the usual stuff we had breakfast in there daily and everything was nice only had two dinners in the snack bar, both of which were nice

We ate out every other night and we never came across a bad restaurant in the whole fortnight Panchos and the Orion were defo the best two places to eat, the pool at the Olympia was really nice couldnt keep our 10 year old out of it it was split into 3 with a small pool rased up slighty which poured over like a waterfall into the main pool which was a good size and a small kiddies pool seperated from the main pool plenty of sunloungers to go round no mad rush for them as we've experienced in other hotels in the past we went to the waterpark brilliant day out not overly busy either considering the time of year we went no more than a couple of minutes wait to get on the slides (went to Costa Caribe Salou last year and the wait to get on the slides were a nightmare) 55 Euros to get in for myself Wife And child also went to Rodos Old Town twice it was that nice!! were not really into sightseeing but that place definatly deserved a good look at lovely ,

the beach was a good 10 minute walk from our apartments it was quite rocky at the part we went to however i believe the closer you go towards the centre of falaraki the nicer it is we could nt be bothered with the longer walk as it it was 42-44 degrees every day we were there so the rocky bit of the beach was good enough for us also went out on a 3 hour glass bottom boat trip to different bays that was excellant aswell defo worth doing i know in the past falaraki has had bad reports with the 18 - 30s but us travelling with our 10 year old son we never came across anything to put us of the apartments did have a few groups of young guys and girls however they never gave any problems no noice was heard from them and the owner Manos and his wife were a lovely couple nothing was to much trouble to them and they made you feel so at home

i would definatly recommend the Olympia and falaraki to anyone

This was our third time in Faliraki and my sister and her family's first.
The Olympia was spotlessly clean, with excellent staff who would go out of their way to help. The pool is fantastic with no shortage of sunbeds.
My only complaint would be it's location as it was a good walk into the centre of Faliraki.
Faliraki is nothing like it has been portrayed in the past but this could be due to the time of year we go.
There are some fantastic bars, clubs and restaurants, our favourites being Kelly's Irish Bar, Underground and the Jamaica bar where the staff are unbeatable.

when we arrived in the middle of the night went to room to find it really dirty we couldn't even put clothes in wardrobes before we found cleaniing wipes we brought with us to clean the insides. we went down and bought two fans for the fortnight which was a waste of time.we returned to the room and my little brother was yelling as the bathroom floor was completely covered in ants got the spray mum had brought killed them all and and realised we had no brush mop etc cleaned up best we could. we were in the back block and they never seemed to bother with our room and the rest of the blocks apartments were the same the front block was always being cleaned.the pool was a big bonus plenty of beds and space but not any entertainment were told it was on once a week but every week a new excuse.

all my family enjoyed the holiday but really need air-com and a good cleaner.my mum ended up getting the mop from bar and cleaning our room by herself as she couldnt stand the dirty floors one bonus beds were changed often.met lots of great friends and really looked after you especial;y adam ,bristol weather was great trips were great and hotel good be really good if they got there act together.

We arrived at the hotel late at night and we were looking forward to just getting to sleep but unfortunaelty this didn't happen soon! After checking in at reception we made our way to the room allocated....not nice at all!

We walked into a stuffy room which was not air conditioned (tour operator had not told us this!)bugs and mould and ants everywhere! We walked into the bathroom and there was a cockroach, two sand coloured bugs which we had never seen before and mould and bugs crawling around the bin, sink and base of the toilet. We then realised the same problem was around the kitchenette area...(if u can call it a kitchenette!)

We had no shower curtain and when we requested one they we got it on the last day! The floors in the rooms were filthy...we had to put our flip flops on as soon as we got out of the shower to prevent us having black feet (and that is no exaggeration!)The view from the balcony was a rock which wasn't really security conscious...a couple of times we woke to find greek men outside our balcony! when we raised the issues of hygiene with the owner he came to look at the room. He used a kitchen sponge to clean the ants up and when we asked if he could use some detergant for the rest he threw our key at us!!! Customer services obviously didn't apply in greece! it wasn't just us that week that had problems...at the welcome meeting i don't think one person had a nice clean room, and for a three star accomodation i wasn't expecting the ritz but for it to be clean and friendly would've been nice.

If you're unlucky and are going there here are a few hints: you need 15 euros for a fan which doesn't really work so it may be worthwhile to take a manula fan! go to Zorba for a full english breakfast for just 3 euros...clara and yianni who own it are lovely and will treat u like family! if u walk further down the beach towards flaraki the sand is a lot nicer! Enjoy! (or at least u can outside the hotel!)

Just back last Wednesday from 2 weeks staying in Olympia Studios and had an excellent time! There were four of us, all girls between 20-204! Even though we were there in the height of summer we thought the apartments would be mobbed with young people, but it was mainly families.

The apartments were family run, always clean and tidy, always friendly, helpful and welcoming, even when they had to put up with our drunken return to the 24hr bar in the early hours of the mornings! The pool area was also kept immaculate, with the three pools, one paddling pool, a big swimming pool, and the other with steps up to it and a waterfall (it was great for sitting under to cool off)! We would normally head out for something to eat about 9/10 o'clock (after our afternoon doze and the time we all got showers etc).

Other than the apartments, the best restaurant in Faliraki is 'Opera', big, grand, open roofed, palace type place. Also go to the chineese on the main road. Opera has a sister restaurant down there, a chinese, but it's not that one, it's the one opposite, absolutely beautiful and fully air conditioned. What ever you do don't go to 'Jade Garden' on Bar Street, it's horrible! Another good one is 'Manolis', it's a typical Greek restaurant with the thatched roof, blue and white checkered tablecloths, can't remember exactly where it was but any taxi driver can take you there. And finally 'Pancho's Mexican' restaurant in Club Street. Check out their Hot and Spicy Chicken Fijitas, they're gorgeous! They come out to you on a kind of chopping board with your salsa, soured cream, guacamole, then on a sizzling hot place comes your chicken strips with peppers and onions, relly good, bet you can't eat all four! Manos, the bar man at Olympia will tell you where is good and his best advice is to go where you see Greek people eating!

If your here to party then head to Bar Street. It was good, not as lively as we were expecting, but, after all the bad press I'm not surprised! The best bars are 'Climax' where George works as a PR on the street, lovely guy, think he's heading off to Thiland soon tho to work, also go to the bar which is kinda opposite, can't remember it's name but Luke and Cully work behind the bar and they will get you tanked up playin drinking games then laff as u go to be sick as they've just given you a shot of whiskey/sambuca/tequila, yuck!! One to miss is 'Breeze', we drink vod and red and they were horrible in there as their redbull came out of one of those gun things, cudn't even drink them!

Then after you've had enough of bar hopping go to Club Street. The best club is 'Q'. It's got three rooms, one dance, one randb and the other chart! Another one is 'Liquid', it's pretty good aswell and fully air conditioned! It's massive. It has two rooms but one was closed when we were there. The one we were in played chart music. Bar street is open to 12:30, so they say, it's only because the police drive down the street at that time and they turn the music off for 5 minutes, then as quick as it goes off, it's on again! Clubs open at 1:00 and stay open till 5:30. If your still up for partying then go to 'Splash', it's an after (pool) party and stays open till bout 8:00!

We had friends staying in Kos, another Greek island so got the ferry from Rhodes harbour over to meet up with them, 50 euro return for an overnight stay or 45 euros for same day. Rhodes harbour is 20 mins in a taxi from Olympia Studios and costs 15 euros. When we got back from Kos we decided to go for something to eat in Rhodes Old Town, thinking it would be nicer than the New Town, how wrong could we have been. All the roof terraces looked lovely, looking down onto a pretty courtyard but the food woz horrible. We told Manos about it when we got back and he laffed at us saying all the restaurants in the Old Town were the same, but the New Town ones were good!

Also, we went out on a glass bottomed boat for 20 euros, that included a nice lunch and a drink. We got to swim with the fish and feed them, freaked out a bit when one touched my leg and had to get back on the boat! Then as if that wasn't enough we decided to hire out a speed boat from Faliraki beach, there was 4 of us so that was 20 euros each for 2 hrs - could have been more or less, depending on how good r crappy a boat you wanted. Didn't need any driving license or ID.

We looked into hiring quads but they were something stupid like 90 euros for 3 hrs, I think scooters were 40 euros for 3 days and you needed a full driving license. It only takes 10 minutes to walk from Olympia Studios to Club Street/Bar Street. The quickest route is at the end of the road, cross the road and follow the dirt track then turn right, or if your feeling lazy, reception will fone you a taxi and it will be at the Supermarket at the apartments within minutes. Minimum taxi fares are 5 euros. The supermarket at Olympia is family run and they are all very friendly and welcoming.

If you want to book trips, excursions etc then you can ask your rep, we didn't go to the rep meeting as we just like to do our own thing, but I'm sure he woud have been happy to hep. Instead we went to the travel agents at the end of the dirt track. Lovely husband and Australian wife run it and are very helpful and friendly. Infact, all the Greek people that we met were exceptionally friendly and I would recommend you visit them (only make sure you bring the mosquito spray, we got quite a few bites)!

Falaraki is the place to be!!! LOVED EVERY MINUTE!! from the minute we got there we had a fantastic time! our reps were great Lucy Lou and Jex ( YES has everyone seen jexs' videos?)

Apartments were great but we had little trouble with Marko (his real name was Yannis but Marko sounded better) and Debbie the owners of the apartments, why they would own an escapades sight really gets to me!! after our ";little disagreement"; the hols was FANTASTIC!!! only thing bout the apartments that werent nice was the fact you woke up with goats at the hotel EVERY morning, but thats what happens when you are near a bloody mountain!!! and then the NO WATER PROBLEM between 7pm and 9pm not good when you are wanting to be out before midnight! BUT the 24HR BAR MADE UP FOR IT!!!

The first night you need to go on the Bar Crawl - best night ever thats why we went on 3 of them!!! Tropical Bar was our place, great music and fish bowls were FAB!! only thing is music stopped at midnight so Sinners was a great club to go to (very sleazy at times though)Q-club and chaplins great places too!! so many fantasic places!!! If you love Karaoke then BEDROCK is the place to be, we were never off it!!

Food in Falaraki was great also! cant go to greece without having a GIROS! but chips and cheese would be the best bet!!!
When you go to Falaraki you will love it!!! its had bad press but to be honest it has been blown out of proportion BRITAIN is worse!!

Went to Falaraki just when most of 18-30's etc had retired (thank god).... So resort from what I saw was more like 30's-80's.Falaraki is a lovely place, but not very family oriantated,Don't think it caters much for young children, there is a little fair, but that closed down 3 days b4 we came home! The waterpark is a fabulous day out, It's 19e for adults and 10e for kids, and theres loads to do, and the poolside snacks arnt bad either.

The Olympia apartments are beautiful, they were used by escapades til end of sept, which would be very lively from june to sept I think. But there werent any there when we went. All the staff are lovely people and Yannis and his wife who look after apartments and supermarket are really nice, friendly and ever so helpful. We had a lovely time.... Thankyou all

Overall the holiday was a very good holiday.

Faliraki is a very RandB resort (not my cup of tea but still enjoyed it).

The Olympia apartment facilities are excellent. the 24 hour bar is great to come into after a night out and the apartments were just the right size and clean. The only problems we had were that sometimes the maids didn't clean the sheets and the very big problem...NO WATER AT ALL BETWEEN 7PM AND 9PM. I really mean no water..there wasnt any water in the toilet so if you decided you needed a No.2 at 7pm you would have to wait till 9pm. Also this was very inconvient as this was the time where you wanted a shower.

Escapades reps were ok, they didnt hassle us because we never wanted to do any of there trips. Faliraki resort was heaving! REALLY HEAVING! which suited us and as we were in a group of 18 we got loads of fishbowls free. Male to Female ratio is really bad for the lads there must be 6 lads to each lass but wasnt too hard to pull. Don't think i would go back to Faliraki as gets too much bad press but very exagerated by the newspapers. I never saw one fight.

BEST THINGS: Fishbowls, ringo's, Scooters, Bar Street, 24 hr Bar, Very good pool.

WORST THINGS: No running water between 7-9pm, Poor lad to lass ratio.
