Zante or 'Zakynthos' is a lovely Greek island. There is something here for everyone, from relaxing in Alykanas to clubbing in Laganas. The sea is crystal clear, the sun shines brightly and the local people are very friendly. Explore the island to see all it has to offer, you won't be diasappointed.

"Did not venture out of the hotel"
resort to a friend
did not venture into the town. but it looked like the usual greek town. With lots of bars and restuarants and souvenir shops. taxi's plentuful but price has to be agreed upon.

" The beach and restaurants in Tisvili"
resort to a friend
I will start with a disappointment as to what has happened to the beach front. A new and as yet an uncompleted hotel as concrete promontory out into the beach which makes it impossible to walk from the Zante Maris Hotel to the Boomarang bar without a knee deep paddle or a walk on the wall of death, an 8 inch wide ledge and some rock hopping to get on and off. The resort is delightful with very many restaurants, very easy to enjoy walks, not may hills to climb.

Beautiful friendly resort! I have visited 3 times now The family, balcony and acropolis restaurants are amazing and very cheap. Rent a car if you can and see Zante its beautiful

The beach is picturesque and pleasant and not exploited by development because the main concern is for the well-being of the loggerhead turtles. The hotel food was on an all-inclusive basis so we did not need to eat out but there were plenty of restaurants with attractive menus displayed in Kalamaki. We do not sample the nightlife and prefer to sit in the bar or lounge after doing a lot of walking during the day. 6/10

Plenty of restaurants and shops in the resort of Laganas. In the strip there is a wide variety of discos and clubs for anyone who is a party animal.

Difficult to give a true picture of this resort as hotel I stayed is a few bus stops away so only visited briefly. It has lots of bars ,shops and eating places, and gives the impression that it can get very lively as the holiday season goes on. Taxis available at a reasonable price, and it is on a bus route to Zante town from where you can catch buses to other parts of the island.

A fairly unspoilt and pretty village. Nice walks along the beach and very relaxing. A nice variety of shops and not horrendously expensive. Splendid tavernas with staff who made you feel very welcome.
