"Cruccuris Resort was ok"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is a really lovely hotel in a beautiful location and very relaxing but sadly it is let down by the standard of the restaurant. On the day we arrived, it was not long after 2pm the restaurant was supposed to be open for lunch till 2.30pm but all we were allowed to have was a toasted sandwich which was horrible. The rest of our stay we noticed no other guests sampled the lunch at the hotel. It was a good job we had a car to get to the restaurants in Villasimius as they closed the restaurant for 2 nights because of a wedding reception. The wedding only took place on one evening so it didn't really make sense to close for 2 nights. On the last night we had dinner in the hotel and it took over an hour to bring our starters. Other guests who came after us had eaten two courses by this time and we were practically eating the tablecloth. To make matters worse the food which did come wasn't what we ordered and the waiter didn't seem to understand this to we had to eat it anyway. When we tried to complain to receptionist the next day when we checked out her attitude was we ate it so we should pay for it! There was no apology.

"Lovely Building, rude staff"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We spent a fantastic 2 weeks in Sardinia in September 2008. The island itself is the ideal summer holiday destination. Perfect white sandy & spacious beaches, great food at the restaurants, hidden turquoise coves, a beautiful rugged landscape to explore & amazing weather. It feels like a cross between Italy & Greece when you are there. I feel I had to mention this resort as we stayed there on only our first night of the holiday. Luckily we had booked to stay elsewhere for the remainder of the 2 weeks. The staff are incredibly rude and will blatantly slag you off in Italian to each other, unfortunately they did not realise I was fluent. I kept this to myself. The service is not very good and the phone rang in our room exactly on check out time to tell us to get out in no uncertain terms– The grounds to the hotel are lovely and the pool is magnificent. There are a restaurant and supermarket within walking distance. Please go and sample Sardinia but choose somewhere else to stay….
