the resort was lovely but beware it is very expensive to live in.. there is a lot if enetertainment in old town for mature ppl but the new strip is more for young people it has nice beaches

A lot of sharp broken shells on the beach. Night life in the old town great.Eating out a lot better than Monica Isabel food.

Brilliant lively resort, great people watching and cocktails! Lots of souvenir shops and bars and restaurants on the strip. Take the land train to the old town which is still lively but more old fashioned and a lovely place for an evening stroll. Great meal right on the beachfront.

The weather this time of year was brill with temps ranging from 25 - 31 degrees, the beach was very nice and although things are starting to slow down plenty of acts were still perfoming on a night.

Overall a fantastic holiday with beautiful weather, great food in a great resort will defo be returningback to Albufeira.

We stayed in the New Town which I would say was pretty average. The Old Town seemed to be better but it was a taxi ride away and the queues for the taxis coming home put us off of a proper night out there. Our nights out in the New Town were enjoable but there were not as many places to go and it was all a bit samey. There was a really nice restaurant on the crossroads that we went to a lot, the food was delicious - especially the garlic prawns!!

allthough most of the beach is shelly and hard underfoot there is a little gem behind the rocks to the East of albufeira beach sand is golden and the sea is divine. the night life is extraordinary with plenty of bars and clubs. the food is delicious i suggest the steak house on the strip (the name escapes me but it is excellent) all kinds of water sports are available througout the venue. a must see place.

New town is very lively bit like Blackpool,but Old town is really nice with plenty of little back streets to explore and browse in the quaint shops

The bottom end of the strip is 5 mins walk and I would recommend Wild and Co bar as they have live bands on every night. If you go to the old town, get a taxi as it only cost us 3.90 euros and took 5 mins to the square. The beaches are very nice but Praia de Oura beach is very pebbly but good for entertainment... There are a few karaoke bars at the top end od the strip which are good for a laugh!

Resort was not great - the strip is like something from Ibiza. Old town much nicer. Definetely recommend Zoo Marina - fantastic and kids will love it. Also the boat trips to the caves - well worth it. Beaches are great.

Contrary to what was written in 2007 by a poor-paying guest who arrived immediately after a storm and did not give the hosts time to restore the property..... the 'Villa Darling' was immediately restored and upgraded after the storm. Where can you get a private pool, calm healing surroundings and lush gardens at the price of a 3-star hotel? The accomodation was very comfortable, clean and with a weekly maid service. The view was spectacular and we were able to choose from 3 very good restaurants nearby as well as a local supermarket. we would recommend this property as great value for money.

would suit all but need to seek your own entertainment as not easily avertised a bit quiet other than the strip the old town is nice for mature couples to sit and drink/eat lots of bars catering for all on strip food is reasonable an locals are freindly if in old town on night watch out for touts trying to sell illegal substances as blatent as sunglasses sellers

Clean resort split mainly between 'the strip' and the old town. Old town more relaxed atmosphere and better restaurants. Beaches great and there are plenty of trips eg water parks or sightseeing to be done from this resort.
