My only problem with the hotel was the evening entertainment, there pretty much wasn't any! Although throughout the day out by the pool george was brilliant.

"Recommend Hotel, Semi Quiet Street, Exce"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Why some vistors complain viciously about this hotel i will never know. in this review is honest feedback.
Reception- Quite a few booked in this hotel off our flight and check in was very quick. We had a few problems and these were sorted out without fail.
The bedroom- There were 3 of us in the room and it is compact for three adults, We rearranged the beds into a sort of u shape this made the more space. The rooms could do with a lick of pain but it was not a major problem. The bathroom was a decent size.
The Bar service- Very speedy there was not actually any really busy period's, The spirit measures were very generous, There were not any tip jars on the bar as in bars everywhere but i did give a generous tip at the end of the holiday. All drinks and bar snacks have to be signed for with your room number aswell. It appears the only British/Irish customers are all inclusive at this hotel. The all inclusive drink package is 11:00-23:00 and premium drinks eg branded drinks are 50% off prices.
The Resturant- The food quality is equal to the general spanish hotel standard, The variety at each sitting is out standing there is a carvery, Show cooking (steaks,Chops.Chicken, burgers etc). also a choice of meats in gravy, Stews,Fish and salads to mention a few. there is something for every one.
Pool Area- This area was never full of sun worshipers while i was there and no fight for the loungers. The snack bar is at the pool bar.
Entertainment- I did not particiate in this so cannnot make any comment
The Staff- Friendly staff they all appeared to enjoy their jobs.Nothing is too much for them.
Other Information- The hotel is in a Semi Quiet Street (so not much traffic noise) in the old town area of the resort, It is a 5-10 min walk to the sea front even less to the railway station and shops. Take no notice of the vicious comments in some reports as this is not Faulty Towers. But is not the Ritz either. I was happy with the hotel i have been bad ones and i can vouch that this is a decent one.

"Almost half board"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Paid for all inclusive, spa and facilities cost extra! Feel ripped off! Although food and drink included, waiter service was not! Made to feel second class to paying customers although we were all inclusive.

"Eurosalou hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Quality and choice of all inclusive food was very good although all inclusive did not start until 11am. It would have been nice if it started at 10am. Rooms were very basic and pillows were really hard, although the rooms were clean, they are in need of upgrading. Air con in one of our rooms did not work and the shower head fell off on the first night. The pool area was not as clean as it could have been with rubbish left from the day time still there in the evening when the tables were set out, including plastic cups, tissues, used wet wipes and cigarette butts. Loved the area though, very clean and lots of shops, central for exploring the area. Beach excellent. Disappointed that the holiday rep could not organise an evening to see flemenco dancing, apparently the Brits are not interested in seeing traditional shows ! very disappointing, but booked direct with the hotel. As we were the only brits, we ended up on a bus full of Russians - entertaining but would have been nice to know what they were talking about - all the commentary was in Russian.

"Noisy"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Hotel was very noisy and the pool facilities were inadequate for the number of people staying. According to First Choice brochure we were staying at a hotel suitable for peace and quiet as it was in the old town with a good standard of accommodation. Our new room had a very poor bathroom, the sink did not drain properly, the floor tiles were broken and tiles were coming off the mouldy bath wall. First Choice brochure is misleading. First Choice have ignored my complaint regarding this.

"Not great..."
Overall Hotel Rating:
Terrible food - believe previous poor reviews!! If you get a really cheap deal then the Euro Salou is ok, but I wouldn't like to pay full brochure price. Kids entertainers seemed great, but we were a couple with no kids so not much entertainment for us. Good choice of all inclusive drinks. 5 minute walk to the the beach which was great as pool very small and disappointing. It felt like we were in an overcrowded back yard! Also impossible to get a sun bed, and you've no chance of getting a parasol so you will burn!! The hotel is quite a distance from the new town's shops and bars....always make sure you cross the level crossing before adventuring as you will get stuck!! Also, if you have enough room in your luggage, take pillows....seriously guys - they're solid!!

"Salou hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Ok for a place to rest your head - otherwise it is basic, small pool, small sun lounge area, half an hour of children's entertainment - same every night. Adult entertainment consisted of a quiz or bingo. Food caters for masses and is stews or fried fish. chips or pasta - only saw one rice dish and it was supposed to be chinese, but it was just boiled rice with pepper and peas. If on a budget and don't want to worry about paying for meals or drinks then this hotel is ok.

"Great but average food"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was very looked after but the food was very average with little variety and we went out for a couple of evening meals because we just could not have any of that food again. Shame really because Salou is a really nice place and the hotel staff were very friendly.

"great first experience of all inc."
Overall Hotel Rating:
This was our first all inc. break. There was plenty of choices and good quality food in the restaurent. Snacks, ice cream and good choice of drinks from 11 am-11 pm. There was hardly any queuing and my 3 20+ year old daughters were more than happy not having to spend any money.

"Eurosalou"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed here for a week in June 2012. This hotel is in my opinion worth more than a 3 star rating. Everything was spotlessly clean, food was above average, staff were great. The only thing that unfortunately spoilt our stay a bit were some of the other guests! And by other guests I'm afraid I'm talking about my fellow Brits! Some reviewers have said that the locals were grumpy and rude to them, and that the Spanish do not like the British- I cannot comment on what I did not see, but during our stay we did not encounter any of this- the locals were friendly, polite and a pleasure to be around. My fellow countrymen however... Maybe it was just during my trip, but I have to say in all honesty that I've never before encountered such loud, rude and obnoxious people on a holiday. We stayed on the fourth floor across from a large family who had three rooms, and every night from around 10pm it was constant door slamming, running up and down the hallway, screaming, shouting and music so loud you could hear every word in every song! We complained to reception, who seemed as exasperated as us, and managed to get the music stopped, but the other noise continued throughout our stay. I don't blame the staff too much- they did what they could, short of throwing them out (I don't think they wanted the hassle). I suspect the fact that we got such a bargain price for our stay is responsible for some of the unsavory characters we encountered, and as I said, I believe this hotel should be charging a lot more for their rooms considering the facilities on offer. I don't consider myself a snob or a serial complainer, but I feel it needs to be said that the this is a great hotel, in a great location, with lovely staff who do a fantastic job in some pretty trying circumstances.

"review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was situated in a nice location, only 10 mins walk from the beach, it was very clean and the food was very nice. There is a big problem with sunbeds which really needs looking at, there is a battle for sunbeds everyday and on more than one occasion we witnessed people getting jostled, pushed aside and even pushed to the ground in the race for a bed. The hotel management don not treat British guests the same as the Spanish guests, The Spanish get preferential treatment and when a complaint was made about anyone Spanish the reply was, 'I'm sorry I cant do anything about it, they are Spanish' this was very annoying and problems didn't get sorted, they didn't even get sorted when the problem was reported to the Thomson's rep.

"Excellent value and good fun"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Eurosalou Hotel and Spa was an excellent hotel, the staff were helpful, the rooms comfortable and the location perfect for the beach, town, bars and clubs. The food was excellent, providing a perfect mix between English and Spanish food. The bars in the hotel were excellent, with a wide selection of drinks and the bar staff were polite, friendly and provided reasonably quick service. Although the guests at the hotel were mainly families it was also excellent for groups of young people or couples as the entertainment and location provided for all groups. First Choice/Thomson provided excellent excursions, catering for all ages and interests, the day trips to Barcelona to visit the Camp Nou and other attractions such as the zoo, aquarium, fountains and city was fantastic and well worth a try, not to mention the Salou bar crawl of the top local bars/clubs for all the party animals in the local hotels which was also fantastic. Overall we had a brillaint holiday, every aspect of the hotel was wonderful, the local town and beach superb and the activities and night-life were brilliant. We would definitely go back.
