"Great location"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Great location. Short walk to the Opera, Palace and Cathederal one way, Plaza Sol, Plaza Mayor and the indoor market the other and in between great shops and restaurants. 15 minute walk to the Prado and my favourite the Thyssen. The hotels front desk staff are first class, the restaurant staff seem a little dowdy. Breakfast was very good, evening meal was spoilt by the unsmiling staff. The location means eating out is the best option. Despite the catering team and would stay at this hotel in the future.

"Hotel Preciados"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We had a suite I think - in any event, plenty of space and very nicely fitted out and well appointed sizable bathroom. We didn't know Madrid well but location was excellent with walking access to most of the city attractions. The staff were unobtrusive but very helpful when needed. We also enjoyed the restaurant either for meals or just a drink. By European standards, we also thought the hotel was very well priced. Highly recommended

"Nice Hotel in a nice location"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This elegant 19th century building is about 30 minutes from Madrid Baraja Airport, with a taxi fare of around 30E which includes a mandatory 5.50E airport supplement. Our taxi driver off the airport stand took a slightly scenic route which was irksome, but the cab booked by the hotel for our return was like a fixed-target missile and cost rather

Overall Hotel Rating:
Fantastic location, walking distance to all the attractions. Great restaurants nearby. Very near two Metro stations (Santo Domingo & Callao) for easy travel by Metro to the airport and other sites in the city. Very helpful staff, modern, convenient facilities. Will definitely go back to this hotel on our return trip to Madrid.

"Hotel Preciados "
Overall Hotel Rating:
Spent 4 nights here recently. Managed to get an good all-in deal so can't comment on the cost of breakfast; but, as breakfasts go, this was a good one - very large choice of interesting food, fresh fruit, cooked and uncooked meats, cereals, yoghourts, cakes etc.
The hotel was surprisingly quiet given its location; staff were all helpful and several spoke English. Through our being disorganised, we ended up eating in the hotel restaurant one evening. Food not especially cheap, but surprinsngly good for a hotel restaurant, with a definite Galician flavour, and in an attractively uncorporate dining room.

"Hotel Preciados"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Thanks to some really cheap flights from Ryanair,me and my husband treated ourselves to a nice city break in Madrid. Booked the hotel online as well, that too was a reasonable price. It was very nice, good central location and the room was a decent size. We booked it as B+B, and the breakfast was nice - coissants and some of those nice Spanish cakes.

"One word: perfect!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We spent a week here in April and had treated ourselves to the suite. The private terrace was great and the extra room size because it being the suite made a weeks stay more relaxing. The location is good and we walked everywehere. 20 -25 mins to Prado and just 5 to the Palace. The area it is located in is eclectic with some very nice shops / resturanats and some very tatty ones but never felt uncomfortbale walking around. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was perhaps on the pricey sid ebut the quality and choice were very good, set you up for the day.

"Hotel Preciados"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Hotel Preciados wasn't on my radar when I was booking a return stay in Madrid. I ended up booking it without knowing that much about it because our stays are more about seeing the city than it is staying in the hotel room. We were extremely happy with our room, our stay and the staff at the hotel. We didn't hear any road noise from the 3rd floor. It is an excellent value for its location. We will definitely put it in the top 2 places to stay in Madrid for our next visit.

"7/10 Average"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I just got back from 5 nights in Madrid and at the Hotel Preciados. I was very happy. I had a quiet interior single room, (94 Euros/night) which was perfect for a light sleeper like me. It also had one of those electric roll-down aluminum shutters, so I could make the room pitch black when it was time to sleep. Calle de Preciados is about a 3 minute walk from Gran Via and about 5 minutes from Plaza del Sol. Two different Metro stations are 3 minutes away. The staff was excellent. The restaurant was very good, too.
