"Fine resort, get the right beach though!"
Overall Resort Rating:
Fine place for families both young and old. Safe as is most of Menorca. There is a waterpark, nice marina, great little beaches and nice walks.

"magnificent"
Overall Resort Rating:
A nice area with a great marina, beaches, accommodation and bars. A good choice of restaurants and reasonable prices. The area is clean and tidy to the same high standard of most of Menorca.

"Purpose Built Resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Purpose built resort with little or no charm. There is a marina surronded by many restaurants, all of which offered the same fare with little or no variety, as evidenced by the pictures they showed on their menus on their pavement displays. Often wondered what pizza and chips looked like.
Beach at Cala'n Bosch very good.
Spent many evenings in Ciutadella which is a nice place and only 15 minutes away by bus.

"Bit brash but good for kids. "
Overall Resort Rating:
Not really typical of Menorca. We have visited Menorca previously and enjoyed the smaller less commercialised resorts.

"Quiet but with plenty of shops and bars"
Overall Resort Rating:
The resort is fairly quiet but with shops and a marina. There are 2 beaches in bays and they get very busy. They are however perfect for young children as the water is usually calm and fairly shallow but it can get windy resulting in a choppier sea. If you want a really beautiful beach though you're better off booking in Cala Galdana - gorgeous bay with turquoise water but also very busy. It costs around 6 to 8 Euros for a sun lounger and the same for an umbrella. The marina comes alive at night with shops, bars and restaurants. It's a family place and not overly lively. Just right if you're travelling with children. There's a good bus service to Ciutadella which is a must see - go in the evening though if you're travelling in the summer and join the locals for a stroll around the shops and to see the old architecture.

"Lovely resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
The marina was beautiful day and night and there was a good range of shops and restaurants. Prices were reasonable on the whole and the resort is spotlessly clean. Chaplins bar deserves a mention for the incredibly friendly service. The beach is lovely and Son Xoriguer beach is also within walking distance but we preferred the less crowded beaches we reached by hire car, especially the spectacular Cala Galdana, Mitjaneta and Cavalleria with its red sand. Worth avoiding - Amigos boat cruises (which should be renamed 'give us your money and we'll give you the experience of a hundred people vomiting in unison'). Buses run frequently and are very reliable. Every person we dealt with in the resort itself was friendly and polite.

"Nice, quiet and small resort."
Overall Resort Rating:
Dont get me wrong this is a nice resort, but dont go there expecting a lot to do. There are several bars and restaurants for evening entertainment around the marina and there is a dedicated waterpark (we didnt go) which is allegedly very good. Everything is walking distance. There are two beaches, both public, but one is hard to get to unless you know how (through the Sol Falco hotel, also a first choice hotel). Beaches are clean but be ready for the price of loungers, EUR12.00 per lounger per day and you will need them as the sand gets incredibly hot. the sea is safe as you would expect for the Med. We went on a pirate cruise for the kids which was very good. Games on a beach for the kids and a tresure hunt. We didnt get told that there was very limited food on the boat and nearly missed out on getting any lunch. The remote beach we were taken to was also a nudist beach. Not an issue, but you have been warned.

"Cala 'n Bosch"
Overall Resort Rating:
Ideal resort for a young family/mature couple. Average cost for pint of lager 4 euros, gin and tonic 6/7 euros. If you really want to enjoy yourselves without watching the hard earned pennies paying the extra for all inclusives is certainly worth it. Lovely beaches, quiet roads, no pestering from the bars in fact the only nuisance are mosquitos - pack your repellants. The nightlife is centred around a Marina which is lovely but you do get plagued by mozzies on an evening. The locals moan that the all inclusives are "killing" their bars but I feel they are doing this themselves - 4 euros per pint? Even in the up market Costa Adeje in Tenerife bars are selling a pint for 1 Euro, surely if they reduced their prices they would attract holidaymakers out of the all inclusive hotels.
I like to get out and about when on holiday but the cost of drinking/eating out would certainly entice me to go all inclusive next time. I might go for "a wander" around the Marina but would retreat back to the hotel for the entertainment.
Lovely holiday, lovely weather, lovely beaches, lovely people, just a shame about the cost for the extras, we were lucky as there was only me and hubby, but had we taken our 4 children (all grown up now) we would not have been able to afford to take them. Would like to go back with grandson but will be going to an all inclusive resort.

"Great Family Resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Great resort for families with young kids.
Not much in the way of nightlife, very laid back.
The location is great with only a 10min walk to the harbour and the beach which are both lovely.

"Cala'n Bosch - the harbour"
Overall Resort Rating:
We were on an all inclusive holiday and did not see much of the resort ! the beaches looked nice, there was a variety of places to eat which all overlooked the harbour. At the end of the harbour there was an area for children to play in which was appreciated by our little ones. There were also a few market stalls selling jewellry and hair braiding - my 7 year old girl loved it !

"pretty "
Overall Resort Rating:
Cala n Bosch is a pretty place, as is Menorca as a whole, but apart from the Marina, there is nothing to do here, if you like to wander round shops, then you will be disapointed, there is lots for young children, with the Goody Goody park, Aqua roc water park, and the hotels childrens clubs. The local bus , number 65, will take you to cuitadella for 1 euro 85, again it is full of boutique style shops, and restaurants, but little else.

"Cala'n Bosch"
Overall Resort Rating:
The were plenty of bars and restaurants around the marina. There was also a few shops and supermarkets and these were much better priced than my previous experience in Menorca. Fairly flat and easy walking, not a big resort.
Overall a great resort for families with young kids.

"Cala'n Bosch"
Overall Resort Rating:
Do not go to Cala'n Bosch if you want a wild party holiday or uber active kids adventure!! The resort caters for all types of guests however everything winds down before midnight, there is only one place that could be called a 'nightclub' and the childrens water and activity parks are small scale. Saying all of that, none of these points must been seen as negative, Cala'n Bosch is wonderful resort, small and quiet with exactly the right amount of shops, restuarants and beach space. The majority of the action is based around the marina, including glass botton boat trips and secluded beach/cove trips, we didn't try these but reports were good in terms of quality and value. The local buses run regularly to Cuitadella, essential for those who want to buy tobacco or cigarettes as the tabac in Cala'n Bosch seems to only open in highest season. The buses run half hourly from 9.15am and a return costs 1.85 euro each way. Be sure to buy a return ticket on arrival in Cuitadella at the kiosk next to where the bus drops off, as the drivers only allow passengers on the bus who have tickets.
