"sleep amongst the wildlife"
Overall Hotel Rating:
for animal-lovers this is bliss - situated right in the national park, the rooms are bungalows set in grounds where elephants, wild pigs etc roam freely - after dark, the staff are happy to call at your bungalow to accompany you to the main building for dinner if you're unsure about being among wild animals - it's a great adventure. the rooms are excellent with all facilities. the food is self-serve with a very good choice and is good quality and plentiful. the drinks are a bit expensive. all in all couldn't have chosen a better-located hotel for doing the mini-safaris into Yala Park - will definitely go back there one day

"Amazing Experience"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Yala Safari Game Lodge is your only option for staying in the national park and there’s not many options for staying offsite either....this is reflected in price. However, the whole experience is pretty good; the rooms are not luxurious hotel rooms but they are large, clean, comfortable huts with all the mod-cons. There’s plenty of wildlife around so you need to be careful of mosquitos, not to mention the wild boar that roam the site at night – you need a hotel escort if leaving your room at night, though this is a no-fuss affair (you call the reception and they send someone straight over to take you to the main lodge). They run a buffet system in the restaurant and it’s pretty good. Again it’s not 5* hotel quality which you may be led to think based on the price but its more than edible.
All in all, you wouldn’t go there for the accommodation but it more than suffices for the experience.
