Please please never visit these apartments, you WILL regret it. My wife and I visited and from the start we knew we were in trouble. The rooms were dirty, un-modern, the door didnt shut right and the electricity kept tripping!!! We had an ant farm in the bathroom and the cleaner didnt even notice! If you didnt spend money at the bar, you were not really liked. I could go on and on.........terrible accommodation!!!

The appartments itself werent top quality but the owners and murad the young receptionist were! they made our stay very welcome and were always willing to help out! we shared many nights in with the owners and murad and we had a great laugh! there english is good and there have a great personality! the appartments were everything you expect for a cheap package holiday.the rooms were cleanned every day and we had no troble with plumming conditions or electric conditions.

i do recommend paying extra for the air conditoioning as it was extreamly hot there! eating out was ok, not as cheap as we expected for the beer though! if you drink the local beer it works out about a £1 a pint, but if like me you like your bud or Stella its about £5 a bottle! All in all it was a great holiday! Cheap and lots of laughs! Many Thanks to Murad, Aytan and suzie!

We'll be back guys!

This hotel was probably the most basic hotel you will evr come across although the people were fairly friendly the overall hotel was a bit dim, when we got their we asked if their were any rooms with air conditioning available and we were told no which led to us hiring these fans for 10 pound per week which made no difference. The room was dusty and not very clean and we also had 2 phone cards and a deoderant stole from our room believe it or not which we believe to be the cleaner as our windows were locked and nobody else had access, we found this a bit desparate. Their were ants in our room and they were regular visitors here, you also had to pay for your toilet rolls which i found disgusting.

overall the place is a fantastic place for all ages as i have been to gumbet 4 years in a row but i most certainly would not go back to this hotel.

The golden park is not very golden at all but very dirty the rooms have dirty floors filthy mouldy bathroom mouldy shower curtain old dirty pots and pans food is embedded into the two ring hob the fridge door didnt close properly so if you didnt kick it the floor would be wet through and everything would be warm inside. there was a tiny balcony just big enough for 1 patio chair our bedding and towels was only changed TWICE DURING OUR TWO WEEK STAY it was supposed to be changed every three days the young bar man murad was lovely he would do anything for you the other staff was only happy when it suited them.

eating out was very reasonable the angels restaurant was lovely so was the staff. the green dragon did a lovely chinese eat all you want for 40 million the cafe de columbia is a great steak house with free bottle of wine.
we can highly recomend the hotel baba boat trip it was a lovely day 10am til 6pm
with great food too.
beach is lovely withn free sunbeds and waiter service.

After reading the reviews of these apartments, I think the management or owners must have changed this year. The owner and his family couldn't do enough for us, and were always friendly and smiling.

Our apartment was on the first floor, and overlooked the pool, as most of the rooms do. It was big enough, with a great bathroom which had the best power shower I have ever experienced, and hot water any time of day or night (we all had showers as soon as we got to the aparts at 6 in the morning, and the water was piping hot).

Everything worked fine (kettle, hob, air-con etc) and the apart was cleaned every day, including washing the floors and making the beds. Our towels and sheets were changed twice during our weeks stay.

This is a small apartment block, with a small pool (no kids section, and quite deep) but there are lots of inflatables to play with, and my 3-year old daughter loved jumping in the pool with just her armbands on.

Just for the helpfulness of the owner and his family, and the quiet but central location, I would go again to the Golden Park.

Excellent value for money.

Be Warned our room was dirty, only cold water one tiny hot plate for cooking {although you wont need it as eating out is cheap and there is plenty of choice }, kids are not meant to enjoy themselves at the pool which was well maintained its a pity the owner didnt pay as much attention to the rooms, we were promised air con but when we arrived we were told no rooms with air con were available so we had to hire his fans for £10 a week each, dirty floors / toilet / sheets / towels and very unhelpfull staff also we seen our rep once and anything we brought up was brushed aside by his attemps to sell us tours

eating out in gumbet is brill
for the best breakfast/main meal in town the FELIX bar/resturant is a must please give them a try,say hello to t.j,bruno, mikil, and the staff from us pls ,also worth a visit are jasmin garden [hello petikash+staff]
the green dragon does an all you can eat chinese meal for around £4.50 a head[ask at door for your first round of drink 4 free

queens travel is about the best for booking any trips[hiya leslie]scub diving is a good day out[min age 9yrs]
if you visit any markets be prepared to haggle--its good fun but if they wont meet your price walk away they soon catch you up and youve got a deal on your terms

When we arrived at the Golden Park we did not know where we were, due to darkness. The night porter a young lad of about 16yrs,showed us to our rooms. We had been to other Hotels in Gumbet and have travelled there for the past 3 yrs. We found the Golden Park to be quite basic but nice, we certainly did not have any complaints as far as the apts and the manager were concerned. There were indeed no complains from us. The manager Aytan and his wife Susie were very friendly and hospitable towards our group. We will be back to Gumbet......
