Hotel was kept really clean & the grounds were immaculate, when the sun was shining it looked so green & lush it was a pleasure just to walk around. A great selection of pools meant you could find a quiet area or join in the fun & activities by the main pool if you preferred.

Food was great, a really good choice of Turkish & typical 'english' fayre for the children if they were being fussy. Plenty of fruit available too. The only downside were the queues - if there was a queue for something it meant you had to had to wait in it to get to dishes that were beside the popular one until you realised what was happening & squeezed to your dish of choice! Not a huge problem but it did mean sometimes you just don't bother getting what you want to avoid waiting.

Entertainment was good for the children. Our children are 20 months & 4 and absolutely loved the evening I 5 live! shows including the widgets & loose chippings. Both have come back with new dance skills & are still raving about them long after we arived home. Smithy, Karleen & PJ were all great & really worked hard. On the daytime team, Pedro was fantastic for the family entertainment & really worked at getting the kids involved of all ages. My 4 year old wanted to join in with games most days & i think this was because she was so well treated, even if a lot of the children were older than her. Jo was also good fun.

Hotel was excellent, service, staff, amenities all very good and I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a young family. Geared up for kids and was everything we hoped for. The only negative point is the extortionate costs for late check out. We were booked on a 11.15pm flight home and to have the room from midday to 9pm was £55. Last year we paid £20 for the same service. Thomson/First Choice are making a lot of money from this and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Lastly when you are flying home through the night you don't appreciate flight crew going up and down the aisles trying to sell overpriced duty free... Just turn the lights down and let the passengers try and get some sleep...

"Disappointing apart from food & Service"

Excellent food and service. Need more staff on reception as I always had to queue. No Aerial adventure or PS3 in the room as advertised which was one of the main reasons for booking here. No kettle means it wouldn't even achieve a star rating in the UK Desperately disappointed with the entertainment, I expected something more in keeping with the local culture not a Haven Holiday. Excursions very over priced Chill out Bar was the busiest bar whilst all the noisy bars with ridiculous cheesy entertainment were empty. May be that should give you a clue about rethinking the style of entertainment on offer.

Too many people, Long queues for everything, having to queue to pre book kids club places, bars running out off drinks/glasses.Pools being closed due to children not wearing swim nappies.room A/C not working took 2 days to get it blowing but pushed out warm air not cold, even after telling reception numerous times.Sheet on bed not changed at all over the 2 weeks as it had blood spots on it after day 1 .Ice reams only available for a few hours a day and this changed during our stay.

"Poor Choice"

Overall Hotel Rating:

A very good hotel, set in nice gardens. The bad news for us was that the service was extremely poor, with understocked bars and a limited choice of foods. The bars were constantly running out of spirits (what few they had, with only Vodka, whisky and Brandy available), wine and even beer. This led to big queues buiding up while they ran to the stores to top up, even then the meagre amount they brought back didn't last long. The other notable thing was that women and children in line for drinks became invisible and were often completely ignored for long periods, my great neice waited for 15 minutes and may well have still been there now if I hadn't stepped in and got her a glass of orange. The restaurants did not fare much better and food was very limited in choice with lots of poultry choices, which is fine if you are OK with this, but my wife is poultry intolerant and lived on salads for the week. If you are expecting anything pork related then forget it, as there is no bacon or sausage at breakfast or any pork meals throughout the day. I wish this had been mentioned in the brochure as we may not have booked, as it tended to spoil the occasion for her. The queues also built up in the restaurants as people dashed around for particular dishes and the floor often resembled a food battle ground as plates were piled very high as the service area was often chaotic. It got so bad that by the end of our week their they placed dining tables in the lobby near the games room, which looked poor place to sit and eat your main meal of the day. The ice-cream queues were also a bit of a joke as they only served it from 15:00 to 17:00 and people were seen to be waiting for up to half an hour most days. The main pool and a childrens pool were closed three times and once repectively, during the week, due to parents not protecting their children from toilet accidents. This was most annoying as the closures lasted several hours, often not opening until the next day and causing problems when other children didn't understand why they couldn't go in.

Queue queue queue, thats what you'll be doing for all food every mealtime!! Awoken every night due to noise, shouting and abusive guests. This hotel is more like club 18-30 mixed in with Butlins.

"Good for kids but not a 4 star hotel"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Average

Open quote

Its not a bad hotel but its not a 4 star hotel. The only outstanding thing about it is the kids club and activities for younger children. I wouldn't recommend for couples or families with teenagers. We enjoyed our holiday but I don't think we would go back to the Holiday Village in Turkey because there were too many negatives compared to the positives:

Positives Quick check in Excellent kids club. The staff are brilliant with the kids 11 pools to choose from with one of them having slides. The grounds are nice and they are maintained well. Most of the staff are friendly and work hard. Room had carpet Bathroom was a good size and shower was quite powerful

Negatives The rooms were too small, there was no where to put stuff in the rooms. No drawers and we only had 4 hangers in each wardrobe when we first arrived. The lighting in the rooms is also poor. Air con was OK but I've experience a lot better The hair dryer is not very powerful. I would take your own if you have long hair The rooms and walkways can be noisy during the night. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything your neighbours say and do. Take some ear plugs or get very drunk before you go to bed :) The beds are uncomfortable. The maids clean the rooms too late. After 4pm is not acceptable! The cut off time should be 2pm. Not enough sun loungers around the pool or beach. When you eventually found one the back was broken! Queuing for everything! At breakfast for pancakes, activities, towels, ice cream, drinks..... the list goes on! I've never queued so much on holiday as i have here lol! Towels when they they arrived on time at the spar were sometimes ripped and too small. The pools are freezing, when you jump in you want to jump straight back out. The sea is warmer Nothing to do when it's raining. The gym is rubbish! The equipment is old, sparse and the room is too hot. Slippery floors! They need some slip mats around the pools and marble flooring. There was a lot of people with broken or sprained limbs! The sitting area near reception is a nightmare when you have loads flights leaving at night time. No where to sit! The wireless Internet is very slow in reception. The beach is not suitable for kids because of the incline going into the sea and the incline is covered in pebbles which make it difficult to get in and out of the sea. The pancakes from the pancake lady are not very nice....I don't understand why everyone raves about them???? The A la carte restaurants are not very good. The Italian restaurant food was horrible! No fresh fruit juice for breakfast, they only have diluted juice which is not very nice

"Dont go at the 'end of the season'"

If you take anything from this review I would like to advise you that the pools are freezing at this hotel so much so that your children have to be very 'brave' to even get in!!! This should not be underestimated as this is after all the main activity that your children will and should enjoy on your hard earned holiday. ..... All my children said they were disapointed about not being able to use them as much as they would have liked it was a case of jump in jump out grab a towel cccccccoooooollllllldddddd

The hotel was very clean I give it that, but the extreme cold which was a constant feature of the pools and the staff, has left me and my young family feeling like we wasted our hard earned money which we saved all year for. The children lived on chips which by day three the novelty had well and truely gone which meant they lived on Doritos (brought from the shop). We were looking forward to a turkish fayre feast instead we were presented with chips, onion rings and burgers. Even the 'free' icecream' was a nightmare as you needed to cue for hours before you could even glimpse one, this could have all been dealt with and put down to experience as perhaps the all inclusive cueing like your at school sarga was just not for us, but the staff coming to the end of their season were tired and grumpy and unwilling to offer any sort of customer service giving the line of the week 'end of season' when we tried to explain that this may be the end of their season but it was our fully paid up holiday and we certainly did not pay an end of season price at almost £3,000 i expect more for my hard earned and saved money. A very disapointed customer who will not be going to this hotel or recommending it to anyone...

We have stayed in this hotel for 6 years now. It is clean. comfortable, the staff are friendly, polite and they go out of their way to help you. Food is good, plenty of choice. There are plenty of different areas if you don't want to sit by the pool. We love it!!

I think this resort is suitable for everyone, whether you've got kids or not. It has something for everyone.

Very disappointed, we went the last week of the season, the food was awful unless you like potato an pasta an chips everyday. An queue for ten minutes for anything, this is a nightmare when you have childrenThe staff weren't interested , maybe because it was the last week everyone had a cant be bothered attitude, but we paid over £2222.the sun beds in the morning were awful, by 8am not a single bed was left within 50 feet of any pool which again is not good with children, by the fourth day my husband worked out you have to go down by half six, even then it was the worst ones left .

One plus side , entertainment team in the evening was fab, especially James in ifive live.

We visited this hotel 2 years ago and where very impressed so book to go again. Unfortunately this time around we where very disappointed. Our previous holiday the food was very varied and always had something different each night. This time around the food was the same every time and didnt seem to have much of a variety. The restaurant itself seemed to have been cut in half with only one half serving food. We could not fault the staff at the hotel they were always hard working and friendly.
