Good airport ,great parking on the airport .food outlets are no so good but shopping is great and will be much improved when the remodelling has be completed

We stayed here after booking a 6am flight the next morning whcih meant a 4am get up! Booked it through Lastminute.com after ealising that a taxi from north london would be the same price!!!! Very convenient as it's directly linked to Gatwick's South Terminal via a covered walkway.

Top quality bedroom - spacious and well-equipped. Comfy bed, excellent bathroom with walk-in shower, flat-screen TV, etc. I also notived Wifi was avialble

Good buffet breakfast (although some of the "hot" items on the breakfast buffet were a bit cold to be honest). Waiting staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

The aircon in the bedroom was a bit hard to control, and there was no opening window, but the plus side was that the excellent double-glazing and sound proofing meant no noise from the airport.

Can be a bit pricey, but often good deals on offer which makes it an excellent choice for an airport stop-over

4 of us stopped at the hilton for 1 night before our flight to florida. We used the meet and greet car parking service as well. We arrived at approx 5pm and handed our car over to the guys at the front desk and was all done within 10 minutes which was good. We then checked in which was swift and easy, we had a family room which had a double bed and 2 singles. The room was quite large and we had a view of the incoming planes from the front of the hotel and the noise level wasnt too bad considering how close they looked. It was never a problem. The bathroom was ok, nothing special and there were dirty marks underneath the sink area which you could only see while sitting on the loo !!! Not the end of the world but it did look very messy under there ! We ventured down to the restaurant and were seated straight away and we all decided to have the buffet which was quite pricey at £25 but the choice and quality of food was excellent, we all really enjoyed our feast. We had a nosey in the small shop by check-in and grabbed some choc and then headed to the room. The only problem we had was that from maybe 10 pm onwards and all throughout the night there was a high pitched noise coming from the heating system vent high on the wall. We were in two minds whether to report it and ask to move room or do something about it but we decided not to as we dont like complaining and the hassle but we wished we had of done because none of us slept very well at all because of it !! It was just a constant whining noise which was awful. Next time we will ask to move rooms. We checked out and made our way to the terminal building which is a 5-10 min walk and is easy to find. The location is probably the best point about the hotel.

There was building work being carried out by the reception area and it was all borded off but was never a problem or a mess.

Overall, the laoction, service and food were excellent, it was just the noisey vent that spoilt our sleep !

But we would definately recommend the hotel and would stay here again.

A very comfy hotel, great location for the south terminal. Family rooms excellant size and amenities.
